Abaco Lodge
Known for top quality in every aspect, Abaco Lodge is the perfect location for discerning anglers looking for a blend of luxury accommodations, delicious cuisine, and hefty bonefish. Abaco Lodge is located on the eastern shore of Abaco Island overlooking the Marls. The Marls are soft and teaming with 2 to 5 lb. bonefish. With a twenty minute boat ride in a comfortable Hell's Bay Skiff, you'll be into bigger fish that you can wade to. Because of the lodges’ proximity to Marsh Harbor, it is also the perfect location for the non-fisherman or companion who might enjoy shopping or other amenities.
- Within quick striking distance of over 400 miles of bonefish flats
- Both flats fishing and bluewater opportunities
- Great location for both anglers and non anglers alike.
- Four star meals
The most notable fact about the bonefish fishing around Great Abaco Island is the amount of flats to fish -over 400 square miles! Any angler could easily recognize that there are more fishy areas here to explore with a fly rod than can be explored in a single lifetime. This is never a bad thing. The western side of the island holds the ocean flats and is home to some of the larger bonefish. You can access the western side with a short drive. However, it is the Marls on the eastern side of the island that have made Abaco famous. Due to Abaco Lodge’s central location, the Marls can be fished within a 10-50 minute boat ride, depending on how much of the Marls you want to see. While bonefish remain the primary angling target, permit, tarpon, cuda’s, jacks and sharks are all possible on any given day of fly fishing.
One of the bonuses of Abaco Lodge is the opportunity to mix in a day or two of blue water fishing with days on the flats. Fishing out of Marsh Harbor, Abaco’s deepest harbor, the large tackle fisherman has opportunities for blue water species including wahoo, sailfish, marlin, and dorado.
Accommodations

Abaco Lodge is the perfect size for any fine fishing lodge. Eight rooms can accommodate up to 8 anglers at one time, each room is air conditioned and comes with a private bath. Complimenting these rooms is a very comfortable sitting room, fully stocked bar, a relaxing pool, outside fireplace and large patio area. High speed wireless internet, a flat screen TV and a fly tying bench are all available for the convenience of the guests. The cuisine is fantastic, local fare, including conch, lobster and a variety of fish plates is only the start for other four star entrees. Abaco Lodge proves that excellent dining does not have to be sacrificed at a fishing lodge.
